Loving Thyself Women's Conference- October 18, 2014

I attended a Women's Conference Loving Thyself with my daughter Shay, while in Cali, The love and energy was felt from the vendors to the speakers. I shared the passion with the volunteers, and the team members from whose hard work made this conference a success, I met some powerful Black Women sharing how to love yourself and become a better you. I felt the passion from Dr. Robina Smith, a Breast Cancer Surgeon, who also sits on the Board of Susan B. Komen who gave of her time at no charge because her passion for her work allows her to share her time freely. I met Professional Women from every walk of life who willingly shared their passions unconditionally; I only got to stay until after lunch now I see why the conference was scheduled to end at 5pm. The food was delicious and fit for a queen. You could just feel all of the love that made this conference a success.

 

Each lady received a bag of goodies; one of my favorites is the book of quotes. I quote “I draw from my strength the light of love that shines within”, “Bitterness is a root, Don’t give it room to grow”, “My life struggles have taught me the joy of being a women” wonder what would have happen if I had stayed until 5pm.   Thanks Shugella, job well done

Saturday we attended the Loving Thyself Conference and had a really good time networking with positive forward thinking progressive women. 
Shout out to Dr. Robina Smith, Breast Cancer Surgeon from St. Jude's for enlightening my mind, body and spirit and dispelling all the myths of Breast Cancer.   visit treasure chest for more info. Awareness is key.

I had a fab weekend at the Loving thyself spa retreat with a great group of dynamic women...a must do again next time. I hung out with my sister from another mother that I have known all my life and we clowned and laughed all day. I love to see God when he is working on the undertow for someone other than me. It is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! to sit back from a distance and watch him working... oh wow I am still fascinated when he does that...it's Electrifying

Shugella, sorry this is so late but I was thinking of your event yesterday and had to write this now while it was fresh on my mind.

 

First, thank you for being the amazing person you are and inspiration to so many others out there.  I know your group is a woman's group and I would have said "inspiration to women" but felt "Inspiration to so many others" was more fitting.  

 

You not only inspired all the ladies in the crowd yesterday, but inspired me as well.

 

Second, I wanted to thank you for inviting us to participate.  The energy in the room was amazing and Loving Thyself is a truly spiritual and and amazing quest.

 

As a man myself and Ronni a woman we both took so much away from all the presenters and felt blessed to witness and hear the messages delivered yesterday. 

 

We attended as vendors and at the end of the day we both said to each other we earned far more in lessons than in revenue.  

 

For that we are blessed and appreciate the opportunity to have been a part of the group.

 

Thank you and thanks to everybody there for a wonderful and enlightening afternoon.
